As the only State distinction associated with the recognition of exceptional know-how, the Living Heritage Company (EPV) label aims to promote French companies of excellence in order to encourage their growth.

Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) is an official French label, created in 2005, delivered under the authority of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in order to distinguish French companies with artisanal and industrial know-how deemed to be of excellence. It is available to companies engaged in production, processing, repair or restoration, except in the agricultural and fishing sectors, and is awarded for a renewable period of five years.
