Ateliers Pictet have made glass for a private residence in Poland, with interiors by Anna Wojczynska’s VIS-A-VIS studio. The project won a Best Interior Design award from the European Property Awards.
Surrounded by a pristine birch forest in southern Poland, the residence was designed as an elegant sanctuary for its owner. Muted tones echo the use of ebony and slate in this contemporary, minimalist architecture.
Ateliers Pictet created kinetic glass for the kitchen wall in black and mirror, incorporating translucent illuminated zones into the design. As a result, as well as reflecting its surroundings, the glass functions as mood lighting for the room. Working from an idea by VIS-A-VIS, this is the first time Ateliers Pictet have included illuminated panels in kinetic mirror glass.
Ateliers Pictet also created decorative panels for some of the cabinets, in chiselled and lead-silvered glass.
